Mark Johnson is Chief Financial Officer at Flint Bishop, responsible for leading the firm’s financial strategy and supporting its continued national growth.

Working closely with the Executive Team, he plays a key role in driving financial performance, enabling strategic investment decisions and ensuring the firm is well-positioned to achieve its long-term ambitions.

A commercially focused and data-driven finance leader, Mark combines strong technical expertise with strategic insight and operational discipline. He is recognised for his ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable intelligence that supports decision-making at every level of an organisation.

At Flint Bishop, Mark leads the finance function with a focus on strengthening financial governance, enhancing performance visibility and embedding a forward-looking approach to financial management. He is also responsible for supporting the firm’s growth initiatives, including geographic expansion, investment opportunities and operational transformation.

Mark is passionate about building high-performing teams and leveraging technology to improve financial reporting, forecasting and business insight. His collaborative approach and commercial mindset enable him to work effectively across the business, helping leaders make informed decisions that support sustainable growth.

Mark's experience

Mark has more than 15 years of experience across the legal and financial services sectors, having held senior finance, financial planning and analysis, and commercial leadership roles within both professional services firms and global organisations.

Prior to joining Flint Bishop, Mark served as a senior finance leader at Browne Jacobson, where he played a significant role in a period of sustained growth. During his tenure, the firm increased revenue from £70 million to £130 million over five years, while also improving profitability through disciplined financial management, enhanced reporting and targeted commercial initiatives.

Earlier in his career, Mark held senior financial planning and analysis positions with leading international businesses including Equifax, Experian and Capital One. These roles provided extensive experience in financial strategy, business performance management, forecasting, investment appraisal and organisational transformation.

Throughout his career, Mark has developed a strong track record of helping organisations scale effectively, improve financial performance and build finance functions that deliver meaningful commercial insight. His experience spans strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, performance reporting, business transformation, financial governance and the implementation of technology-enabled finance solutions.
