Tom Lindars is a Solicitor in Flint Bishop’s Commercial Dispute Resolution team, advising businesses and individuals on a broad range of contentious matters.

Having gained experience across several areas of commercial law during his training, Tom brings a well-rounded understanding of the legal and commercial challenges faced by organisations of all sizes.

Tom is known for his pragmatic approach, attention to detail and commitment to achieving practical outcomes for clients. He takes the time to understand the wider commercial context of a dispute, helping clients navigate complex issues with clear, commercially focused advice.

Tom advises clients on a wide range of commercial disputes, supporting businesses through both contentious and risk management matters.

His experience includes contractual disputes, shareholder disagreements, commercial property disputes, landlord and tenant issues, professional negligence claims and debt recovery matters.

Before qualifying as a solicitor, Tom completed a broad training contract that included seats in Commercial Litigation, Commercial Property, Employment, and Corporate & Commercial law. This cross-disciplinary experience provides him with valuable insight into the commercial drivers behind disputes and enables him to deliver practical, solutions-focused advice.

Tom has supported clients on a variety of litigation matters, including breach of contract claims, shareholder disputes, disclosure exercises, legal research, drafting and client communications. He has also gained experience advising on corporate transactions, lease negotiations, acquisitions and employment-related matters, giving him a strong understanding of the legal issues that can arise throughout the lifecycle of a business.

In his role within Flint Bishop’s Commercial Dispute Resolution team, Tom manages his own caseload while supporting senior lawyers on more complex and high-value disputes. His broad legal background and commercial awareness enable him to help clients resolve issues efficiently while protecting their wider business interests.

By combining strong technical skills with a practical and client-focused approach, Tom helps businesses confidently manage disputes and achieve favourable commercial outcomes.
